A transgender person who is presenting themself as a woman should be refered to with female pronouns. Therefore, the male-to-female transperson is called “she.” Likewise, a female-to-male transgender person who presents himself as a man should be referred to as "he." This is really a matter of simple courtesy and good taste. If you are not certain of someone’s gender, all you need to do is ask them which pronouns they would prefer to have be used.
