Earring Tips
Earrings are an important accessory. Although they are not worn exclusively by women, in earlier generations they were, so there is still
a feminine association with them. This means that wearing earrings is just one more gender cue that you can use to help pass. Plus, earrings are fun!
Unfortunately, many of us girls do not have pierced ears and the selection of clip on earrings is somewhat
limited. Don't be disappointed. If you find a pair of earrings that speaks to you, the go buy it! Why? Most jewelry stores can convert the pierced type
to "clip-on's" for a small fee. Or you can do it yourself with "earring clip attachments." Some jewelry stores will carry these, but you may have better
luck looking in the "beads" section of a large fabric store.
As a side note, compared to genetic girls, most male faces are slightly round or wide. So, you may want to wear earrings that are "long & slender" to
assist in an illusion which helps narrow your face.
If you do decide to get your ears pieced and are concerned about it being too noticeable, try getting only one ear pierced at a time. Since it takes a
good six to eight weeks before you can take the piercing studs out, start with one ear and let people get used to you having an earring. In a couple
of months, take the first stud out and get the second ear pierced. Nobody is going to notice anything different. All they'll see if that you have an
ear pierced - they won't notice that it is a different ear.
